Call for Papers

Following the highly successful 1997 conference at Staffordshire University on bullying at work (which attracted 180 delegates), the 1998 conference seeks to provide a leading edge review of our current knowledge of this emerging topic. Delegates will be largely HRM and related professionals who are dealing first hand with the problem as well as academics, lawyers and health professionals.

Papers are welcome from academics and practitioners who consider that they can add to the growing body of knowledge on workplace bullying. Research might range from quantitative studies regarding incidences of bullying through to qualitative work such as policy reviews, investigation processes, mediation, health outcomes or the legal dimension. We are seeking papers which take a well considered and balanced approach to the process of investigating this topic rather than prescribing particular themes for the content of papers. Publication of papers (for those interested) is currently being negotiated in an internationally refereed journal.
